Our Story

Liberty Life Skills LLC was founded by Malika Singh with a clear mission: to help adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities live independently with dignity, choice, and purpose.

What began as a Santa Clara County-based Supported Living Services agency, vendorized with the San Andreas Regional Center, has grown to serve the East Bay as well — Liberty Life Skills is now also vendorized with the Regional Center of the East Bay for both Supported Living and Independent Living Services. We’re currently expanding further, working toward SARC vendorization for Independent Living Services and pursuing Coordinated Family Support Services vendorization, so we can support even more individuals and families across the communities we serve.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: independence looks different for everyone, and our job is to meet each person where they are.

Malika Singh is the Founder and Director of Liberty Life Skills, dedicated to empowering adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities across Santa Clara, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties. Though U.S.-born, Malika was raised and schooled in India after her family moved back to care for aging grandparents — an experience steeped in the cultural duty of caregiving that instilled in her a deep, personal sense of compassion from childhood.
