Careers at Liberty Life Skills

Build a career that actually changes lives

At Liberty Life Skills, our team is the heart of everything we do. Every day, our Direct Support Professionals help adults with developmental disabilities live with more independence, dignity, and joy — and we make sure the people doing that work feel just as supported as the individuals we serve.

Why work here

A team that feels different from the inside

Icon

Real impact, every shift

You won't just fill a schedule. You'll help someone cook their first solo meal, navigate the bus to a job interview, or feel confident managing their own budget.
Icon

A team that has your back

We're a small, woman-owned agency, which means you're never just a number. Leadership is accessible, responsive, and invested in your growth.
Icon

Real training, not just onboarding

Every new team member goes through structured, hands-on training before working independently, plus ongoing professional development.
Icon

Room to grow

As we expand into new counties and services (ILS, CFS), we're growing our team right alongside it — with real paths into lead and supervisory roles.
Icon

A culture built on respect

For the people we serve, and for each other. We listen to our staff, act on feedback, and believe good care starts with taking care of our team.
Icon

Consistency you can count on

Reliable scheduling and clear communication, so you always know what to expect and can plan your life around your work.

What you'll do

Provide one-on-one, person-centered support in clients’ homes and communities.

Help with daily living skills — cooking, budgeting, transportation, appointments.

Build genuine, respectful relationships that support independence and goals.

Document progress and communicate with the care team, including regional center staff.

Support clients in the community — recreation, errands, and social connection.

What we look for

Patience, empathy, and genuine respect for the people we serve.

Reliability — our clients depend on consistency.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Caregiving or DSP experience is a plus — passion for the work matters most.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (role-dependent).
